Old Pueblo Chapter

EWGA Mission:  Connecting women to learn, play, and enjoy golf for business and for fun.

The President's Desk

I know the phrase "What happens in Vegas, etc." but this was just too much not to share.  I am just back from the EWGA GolfPalooza where we all helped to celebrate the 21st Birthday.  What better place to turn 21.  Four of our Tucson members were in attendance; Barb McCormick, Amber Rivera, Kathy Thomas and myself.  It was a whirlwind time of connecting with friends from across the country, learning about how to better our Chapters, enjoy golf and hear great speakers.  Meeting Lorena Ochoa was definitely a highlight as well as Stina Sternberg and many others.  So many things going on, so little time.  The Vendor Marketplace was a huge success, as always.  I came back with items that should improve my game, or at least make me look more stylish on the golf course.
We don't yet know where the next Golfpalooza will be held, but you can be assured that it will be another great experience where we can catch up with our friends again, enjoy great food, great golf and great sessions for us to learn and enjoy the EWGA.
By the way, I do understand that Elvis has left the building.  After we all left Vegas, there was just nothing left to stick around for.

Our Community

This new section is what we are going to use to get messages out about our local chapter community.

Arizona Women's Golf Association is an organization that we have a close relationship with.  They provide many of us with a handicap index allowing us to participate in their state wide tournaments as well as the State Medallion Tournament.  Take a few moments to access their website at www.awga.org and check out what is going on in Arizona Women's Golf.

Another arm of that group is the Southern District Women's Golf Association which represents the Southern part of the state.  This group also has a tournament schedule for those of us in the southern area.  Visit them at www.sdwga.org and see what they are up to.

As we are made aware of local community activities of interest to our members, we will place that information in this section of the Tucson website.
